How you feel is a choice you make in every moment

Humanity’s long sojourn in the illusion is coming to an end, as is the illusion itself. It has served its purpose which was to enable you to play with the concept of being separated from God (only in your imaginations!) and to experience the pain, the sense of abandonment, and the insanity in which that state seemed to embroil you. Your Father knew that you would tire of it, and He put in place the apparatus necessary to assist you in freeing yourselves from the severely limiting place that you built.
You are now in the process of freeing yourselves from what appears to be a very sticky environment from which long tentacles reach out to grab you and draw you back. These tentacles are the unloving thoughts and judgments of others whom you perceive as having mistreated or offended you. In fact, the tentacles really represent lifetimes of grudges and resentments to which you cling in the desperate hope that God will recognize how badly you have been treated and provide you with well-deserved recompense or restitution. If God was to attempt to do that, He would be engaging with the insane and the deluded, and that he cannot and would not do because it would be totally irrational. All in the illusion have offended or mistreated others at some time, so everyone owes! Fortunately, it is only an illusion.
The only way out of this endless loop of being offended and demanding restitution is to unconditionally and indiscriminately forgive everyone everywhere. Satisfaction is impossible, and negotiations held for this purpose are never successful because all the parties involved have to give up something for an agreement to be reached. Consequently, they will always feel either that they have received less than was their due, or that they have been forced to pay out more than could fairly be expected of them. As a result, grudges and resentments will always remain, and they will be constantly and painfully remembered.
Forgiveness – true and unconditional – dissolves all those painful memories and relieves the stress that they caused, uncovering the peace and contentment within you that those constantly playing, endless tape-loops were drowning out with their whining cacophony of dissatisfaction. When you truly forgive for the first time you will be amazed at the peace you feel and experience, and which replaces the self-righteous grudge to which it seemed that you were so firmly and inextricably attached.
If you feel hard done by, mistreated, or that life is unfair, it is difficult for you to forgive those whom you perceive as being the cause of your misery or unhappiness. The first step on the path out of this unsatisfactory situation is to be honest with yourselves and admit that no one else is responsible or to blame for how you feel. How you feel is a choice that you make in every moment, and it is directly influenced by where you place your attention.
No one experiencing life in the illusion is free of pain, anxiety, or fear, and if you focus your attention mainly on those issues, happiness and satisfaction will always elude you. Those who are for the most part happy and contented have learnt this lesson: life happens; it happens to everyone; accept it and the lessons that it offers. If you do as they have done, you will find peace – as you discover that you can cope with all that occurs.
Not to cope is a choice, and when made, it entails finding someone or something to blame, because when you make that choice it means you are refusing to take responsibility for yourself, your actions, and all the other choices that you make – because you do not believe you have a choice. This always leads to further suffering. Instead, when the situation in which you find yourselves is unacceptable, make the decision to change it. You can always make a change regardless of how intractable the situation seems to be – by changing your perception or viewpoint. Frequently, people find this difficult because of their deeply ingrained thinking-habits which are familiar and, to a certain extent, comfortable. Nevertheless, alternate options are always available – not necessarily in the physical situation as it stands, but by altering your perception you uncover options that you were maybe unaware of, and that may well make it possible to change the way the situation develops, thus altering the outcome from that which you had originally envisaged.
Be aware that you have made choices, and take responsibility for them because what happens is on your life path for a reason. It has been carefully planned to present you with the lessons that you chose to learn. If you do not take responsibility and deal with what occurs, it will be presented to you again and again (although the form may be different) until you do choose to deal with it.
Instead of apportioning blame and being miserable in a painful situation, ask for help and guidance. Never before has so much help and guidance been available on the planet. This is because the moment of your awakening is fast approaching, and much work needs to be done to release the issues that are seemingly anchoring you in the illusion. You all have everything you need to set yourselves free, and all the assistance and guidance necessary to enable you to do so. Your destiny is to be free, fearless, and happy. Allow yourselves to take the essential steps of letting go of grudges, of refusing to see yourselves in any way as victims, helpless or otherwise, so that you can enthusiastically claim that destiny.
God’s Will is for you to awaken, and your will is identical. But frequently you forget, as you get drawn into the game of “shame and blame,” which is one of the main underpinnings of the illusion. Move away from that game; forgive those whom you perceive as having hurt or caused suffering to you, to your loved ones, or to any others – because to do so will bring you peace and relieve your stress, even though that action may seem to you to be counter-intuitive. As your sense of peace increases – as it will when you follow this path – your doubts will fade, and the deep inner knowing you have that absolutely confirms your intention to awaken will come into your awareness. That knowledge will bring you comfort and contentment during these last stages of your journey Home.

A momentous event of unprecedented significance

A momentous event of unprecedented significance

Your expectations continue to rise as the moment for your awakening approaches, and this is good because interested and enthusiastic expectation of this magnificent event raises your spirits, encouraging you to maintain and further the loving attitudes that are so essential to bringing it to fruition. Focus on loving thoughts, words, and actions to align yourselves with the divine Will. This enables the conduits through which God’s Love flows ceaselessly to strengthen and expand, intensifying that energetic flow. Do not forget that every one of you is a divine conduit. Attitudes that are not utterly loving cause kinks and restrictions in the conduits, so continue to hold the intent to release them. Doing this also brings you to a more peaceful state within yourselves, reducing your stress levels and making it easier for you to become totally self-accepting. Acceptance of yourselves just as you are, without judgment or self-criticism, opens the way for you to accept others just as they are, and helps you to catch glimpses or inklings of the truth of the statement “All are one.” You will find these glimpses extremely uplifting.

It is the One that you all are that is to awaken, and that is why it is such a momentous event of unprecedented significance which will be met with the most fantastic celebrations. You are moving relentlessly forwards towards the completion of an extremely important stage in the divine plan for creation which will effectively raise the level of consciousness, the level of awareness of all sentient beings to undreamt-of heights, and there is not one among you who will not be stunned with amazement and joy when you come into the knowing, the realization of the wonder that has occurred.

You will not just be moving to a new level of existence where all fears, all doubts, and all anxieties have dissolved and all that you could possibly ever need or desire is abundantly and freely available, but to a level where peace, harmony, perfection and beauty of such an intense nature preside that not even a thought of a need or a desire could ever occur to you. You will be creating with your Father a state of endlessly uplifting wonder as you uncover within yourselves new skills, new talents, and new abilities to extend Reality continuously for your ever-increasing delight.

It is God’s Will and yours that you awaken to enjoy the infinite divine wonders with which your talents and abilities constantly present you. You were created solely for the joy, the happiness, the ecstasy, and the bliss that existence at One with God provides for you eternally. Your diversion into the dream of separation has demonstrated very convincingly for you the insanity of attempting to separate yourselves from God, and that dream, that nightmare of horror, suffering, privation, and, yes, at times, despair is to evaporate or fade away like a wraith that you were not even sure you saw. Not the slightest fragment of that horrendous illusion will ever again unsettle or disturb you once you awaken into the glorious wonder of your Father’s loving Presence. All are saved, all will awaken, because all are already at Home in God, and the impetus to become awake and experience that state is irresistible.

With so very much love, Saul.

Loving the child within

Question: Holy Spirit, our true desire is clear and our challenges/fears are becoming more clearly seen. The temptation to pull apart is strong, because in each other we seem to face our greatest fears. Our experience now seems very, very tough. What would you share?

Answer: The more you do together, the better. You each need your own space, your own quiet time apart, but right now you also need more time together. See the time you spend together as foundation-building. Since your relationship is the foundation you have chosen to help yourselves awaken, foundation-building (or relationship building) is important. Be together in a variety of ways. Pray together, play together, read together, share in work together…

You don’t have to make yourselves be together more than you truly desire, but if you look within you will find that you desire to be together, sharing, more than you are because you both desire the strengthening of this foundation.

Question: What about…

Ahhhh! I’m having a tough time asking this next question. It is hard because there is so much judgment and fear in my mind. I am judging the question and I am judging me as the scribe. I have a huge fear that I am just writing what I want to hear. This fear is so big that it makes me want to throw down my pen and runaway and hide. I feel it in my chest.

Before I continue, what would you share about my fear?

Answer: A scribe creates her ability to scribe. This is a creation in that it takes the formless and brings it into form. (In this way, I do not use the word “creation” in the way that A Course in Miracles uses the word. I use “creation” in the way of an artist.)

An artist creates his painting or his sculpture or his magnificent musical piece of work, but any great artist will also tell you the work was born through him. He both created it and he didn’t. He created the piece of work by allowing it to be born through him in a specific form.

The scribe does this. She allows the birth of formless into form as a specific expression through being a scribe.

Because the scribe is a partner or co-creator in the birthing of what may be considered “holy words,” she can also feel guilt or fear about these words. She can fear that her ego sometimes does the writing. She can fear she is not open enough or hearing deep enough. She can even fear that she is making up the entire scribal experience and there is no co-creation with anything divine. The latter may be the greatest fear for many people who are scribe.

The best thing a scribe can do is allow the flow of words that comes through her. She can feel the flow as it comes through at a consistent rate without a break in the flow. Trust this flow that keeps flowing like a river running downhill. It is different than thought, which is rambling and seems to fire from all directions. It is a steady flow that seems to come from one consistent source. As long as the words are coming in this flow, write down the words that you hear.

Your next question frightens you because it is a question that addresses the greatest fear that you have. You are afraid that your fear will be a block to hearing Me or that it may be your ego that answers. You are also afraid, since you fear that scribing may be a human creation rather than a co-creation with the divine…you also fear that asking this question may be exposing yourself as a fake. You’ve had this fear for a long time, and it comes up around many questions. It is time to look at your greatest fear, because it is your greatest fear that hurts you the most.

I understand that facing your doubts is difficult for you, but that is only because you fear your doubts are real. In facing them, you will learn they are not real. In willingness and readiness, and out of a pure desire to take this step, ask the question you fear to ask now.

Question: Holy Spirit, the question is about Ho’oponopono. I seem to have three questions about it. 1) Isn’t it a practice of seeing a problem on the screen instead of accepting everything as perfect now? 2) Doesn’t it forget about the free will of the Son of God? That is, doesn’t it not allow upset and illness when upset and illness may be chosen? 3) If we are looking to the screen for a change in effects, aren’t we going to be disappointed and therefore lose ourself on the screen?

Answer: Eckhart Tolle also sees a problem on the screen. Jesus, as he seems to come to you in many forms, also sees a problem on the screen. All great healers see a problem on the screen and want to fix it, not because they believe it is real, but because they know you do. A great example is the example of a parent who is helping a child. The child may be afraid of monsters under the bed or in the closet. The parent knows there is nothing to fear. But the parent may still perform some magic; he may talk the monsters into leaving and then show the child they are gone. He does this to address the child in a way that will generate a moment of ‘no fear.’ He knows the child’s fears may return tomorrow night; he knows what the child feared is not real; and he knows a day will come when the child will outgrow his fears. Still, he does what he does now to bring peace to the child now in order to be truly helpful.

This is what a healer does. He reduces fear through the willingness that fear be lessened in order to provide rest and a greater opportunity for awakening. To ignore fears that seem very real is not helpful. That only generates more fear. To address those fears lovingly while also knowing they are not real is a loving and gentle way of helping the mind awaken. But in order to do this you must be able to see the fears. Seeing them and believing them is not the same thing. Fears can never be healed by believing they are real.

If you are looking to the screen for effects and you believe fear is real, you will experience great upsets when there does not seem to be a change in effect. When you look to the screen for a change in effects and you do not believe it is real, you will not experience the same upset. You will, however, continue to feel called to be helpful. As long as fear is pictured on the screen of the mind, those who understand that the mind is dreaming will do what they are called to do in order to help the mind awaken.

Question: And what about us, specifically Laurent and me?

Answer: You experience a lot of fears and you do not yet realize that your fears are not real. However, you are ready to grow from childhood into adulthood by letting go of imaginary fears. Again, this is why you have come together.

When you are ready to address your fears and let them go, it is no longer helpful to depend entirely on magic. Some magic may still be helpful for a time, but what is most useful is to learn that your fears are not real. Likewise, it is not helpful to hide from your fears by avoiding them.

Talk about your fears together without judging yourself for your fears. Be willing to see how you uphold your fears, and be willing to change habits in order to learn that your fears are not real. Also be patient with yourselves and one another. Treat yourselves like a loving parent treats a frightened child. Be gentle in addressing the fears, realizing that the child within still fears they are real.

Question: How are fears healed?

Answer: Through willingness to face them and see they are not real. At some point when the child is ready, he must look under his own bed in order to learn that there are no monsters living there.
